Growing in Unity Day 2

Good morning FABULOUS Bloggers how are we doing this Tuesday?
Day 2 in my week to showcase Unity Stamp Co. on my little ole' blog and a chance for you to win some wonderful Unity of your very own.  All you need to do is leave a comment each day on my GIU posts and at the end of the week I will draw one lucky winner to receive some Unity goodness just for stopping by!

I created this little goodie bag using the 1st Stamp of the Week set called Follow Your Heart

This is similar to the sour cream containers though it resembles more of a fruit snack pouch..
The paper for the container is actually from an old book I purchased just for crafting
The strip of pink paper is from
The sentiment is distressed with Antique Linen
I used my fishers crimper to crimp the ends of the pouch after I filled it with some goodies.

Don't forget to stop back again tomorrow for Day #3 and every day until Friday!  Leave me some love on each of my GIU posts and you will have the chance to win some Unity goodness all for yourself.  I will pull a random winner this weekend.  Don't forget to check out all of Unity's great products on the Unity website , including {ippity} stamps which you can now purchase on the Unity Website through your chosen {ippity} chick. Don't miss all of the fun over on the Unity Blog!

Totally Terrific Thursday

It's Totally Terrific Thursday time again!
I hope that your week is going well :)
HOW YOU DOIN' IPK-143
is probably my favorite Ippity Stamp set that I own...I love the versitility and the mountains of things that can be created with these sentiments and cute hand-drawn graphics.

I took a blank notecard from an assortment that I purchased at Wal Mart (inexpensive and they come with the sweetest polkadot lined envelopes) and layered it with papers from My Mind's Eye.  I stamped the sentiment, trimmed and then corner-rounded the two edges.  I also used my Zig markers to ink in the little circles under HELLO...that's it.
I believe that anything handmade makes a great gift...make up a batch of these little notecards using the different sentiments in the HOW YOU DOIN' set, tie them up in a ribbon and give as a teacher's gift or to your mom on Mother's Day :)
Hope you enjoy!

Wednesday Wowzer Time

Today I am sharing a card that our own {ippity} Heather has challenged us with.  You can find the challenge HERE.
Here is the sketch for the challenge.

Here is what I have created based on the sketch.

I have used 2 different sets on this card.  The sets are called,  Time for Friends and Your Friendship, My Cup of Tea.

I am also using my super yummy Embossing Powders from WOW Embossing Powders.

I loved the sketch.  I hope you like this card, I LOVE IT!  Polka Dots & Cherries, how can I go wrong with those, right?
Well that is it for me today!

ALSO....A BONUS CARD!!
This is using an itty, bitty, {ippity},(say that 3 times fast!!) called HAPPY.

You all know my love affair with Roy G. Biv and this phrase sang Roy G. Biv to me!

All those flowers are hand made by me using the fabulous die called Cuties 2. Th background flourish(my favorite) is called Fanciful Flourish. Both dies are by Cheery Lynn Designs.

This card I plan on entering into the NEW BEGINNINGS Challenge. You can read about that challenge here...wish me luck!!

Thank you for stopping by and have a great day!
  See you next week!

Chick Challenge!

Today I am the Hot Chick sponsoring the Give Away at the Chick Challenge Blog..
Be sure to stop by and check out the Challenge!

I used the sketch from the Chick Challenge Blog
to create this card adding my own little twist to how I designed my card..

I used the {ippity} stamp set called "Bee" Better Together
I used a Marvy 2 1/2 circle punch for the main image
and a 1 1/4 fiskars punch for the colored image
I then used a Martha stewart punch to add the layered effect on the bottom of the card
and inked it using Linen Distress Ink

The flowers were made from scrap paper and rolled then I added glitter to them.
The pink ribbon is Stampin Up Ribbon from my stash

Totally Terrific Thursday

It's Thursday...YAY!
Let me tell you how much I truly love the brand new lot of stamps that Heather sent to me last week...I have so many ideas for each set and I can't wait to share them with you!
I've used this stamp set to create my project this week:

I took a 4x4 canvas block, painted it around the edges with a warm buttercup acrylic paint.  I then paired up the stamped image with the new patterned papers from October Afternoon's FARMHOUSE line.

I stitched several vintage buttons and crotchet trim along the bottom.
I've hung it up in my craft room :)
Stop by my blog this week for my upcoming
-VALENTINE GIVE-A-WAY-
See you all next week!

"Scents"-able {ippity} card

I have a FUN idea to pass along to you today!
Did you catch the clue in my title?  SCENTS able?
I am going to show you how to make a yummy smelling card!
Start with some basic supplies.  Here I have my embossing pad, my Cherry Stamp from the NEW SEASON, NEW WONDER set and some Kool-aid mix and my brand new CABLE CAR RED embossing powder from WOW EMBOSSING POWDERS.

First, mix a little of the Kool-aid powder with the embossing powder.  After you mix the 2 real good, you use the scented powder just like any other embossing powder.  You can smell it while you heat it up and the scent stays after it has embossed and dried!

I have a lot of these little empty plastic jars, so I saved the excess to use later.

I have used lots of Sassafrass fun papers and embellishments to go along with this card.
The large cherry stamp, the background on the navy blue strip and the word SWEET are all done in the scented powder.  It smells so fruity!  YUMMY!!

Here is the side view, now isn't this a cheerful card??

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you have enjoyed this little tutorial!  If you use my idea, I'd love for you to link back to this post!
That is my WOW for today!  Have a great Wednesday!  See you next week!

Tons of Fun Tuesday

Happy Tuesday!
Last week the design team received some FABULOUS stamps from Heather.
I was blessed to receive the Sweet on You set (which includes a cupcakes stand with cupcakes stamp...LOVE!) along with two others.

My mother in law's birthday is coming up quick, so I thought I make her a cute little card to go with the gift we lovingly bought her.
Here's a look:

It's on the simple side, I wanted to focus on the stamps and products.
I embossed the stamp (using Versamark ink, black embossing powder) and then colored it in with some colored pencils I had on hand. I haven't invested in any Copics yet, my day is coming!
Here's the stamp set:

Thanks for stopping by today!
Wishing you tons of fun this Tuesday!
