A Summery Thank you...

Happy Tuesday!
I completely lost track of the fact that today is Tuesday. The school district I teach in is furloughed today so I have had a four day weekend, but last night for some reason I was thinking it was a Sunday. I got up this morning and whipped up this fun summer thank you card.
I have many people at school to thank for making my job easier so I figured I would start making some so I don't have a long list to make at the last minute.

Here's a look:

It is crazy bright outside at the moment so unfortunately the sun is behind my photos, but hopefully you get the idea. I cut the sun using my Silhouette Cameo and then backed it with some Hambly transparency. I punched a circle out of vellum, stamped the thanks stamp and then used a glue dot to adhere it to the sun. I love twine so I couldn't resist using some yellow twine.
The thanks comes from the stamp set "Regal Greetings" and it's my go to set when I need to make a card with a sentiment.
Have a lovely week!

Monday Linky Party

Hey, stampers!  This is Sherri, and I want to welcome you to another week of fabulous inspiration from the I Heart {ippity} team!  Today is Monday, so there will be a new Linky Party happening today on the {ippity} blog!
Meanwhile, I hope that you are able to enjoy today as part of a long weekend.  However, it's important to remember WHY some of you have today off, as well.  There are some wonderful card drives for soldiers happening right now (such as Operation Write Home), and I thought it would be fitting to share a military-inspired card today.

I paper-pieced the butterfly from All Things are Possible using yellow instead of pink.  There are so many ways that you can personalize this butterfly depending on your cause!  HERE is a link to the meaning of many different awareness ribbon colors.  To finish my card, I added a sentiment from another favorite {ippity} set, Now & Always.

And because I like to share ways to get the most mileage from your stamp sets, I also created a very feminine card using a pink ribbon for Breast Cancer Awareness.  Both the butterfly and the sentiment are from All Things are Possible.

Don't forget that today is the last day to save 31% on all {ippity} stamp sets on the Unity Website!

Just Go with the Flow

Good morning my friends! Emily here, and I am super excited to be sharing my first project as a guest designer ! Tomorrow is Monday, but that's okay. Since getting out of hotels I have not had a case of "the Monday's" while working for my current employers. How many people can say that?! And besides, tomorrow is Memorial Day!

However, I still have many friends who suffer from the classic case of "the Monday's" so in honor of them, I created this card. I wanted to remind all of you who have a hard time getting started in the beginning of the week to just "Go with the Flow."

I used the IPK-109 Fishy Philosophy set for this card.  It's currently on sale!!

I kept the card pretty simple. We all need simple Mondays, right?? ;) The greens and browns complement one another so nicely. Recently I have been obsessed with greens and browns in my creations.

I used StazOn in Forest Green for the image and sentiment which I stamped on Kraft cardstock. I find that stamping sentiments and images on Kraft is very simple, but paired with complimenting patterned papers can look great! I almost always ink the edges of my  Kraft when I am using it for images and sentiments. I used Distress Ink  in Crushed Olive to ink the edges of my papers. The papers and glittered ribbon are from a SC kit I had lying around.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you and your family have a safe and fun Memorial Day tomorrow.

And don't forget about the {ippity} sale going on right now at Unity!

Hugs,

Emily

You Are....

Happy Friday! There are times in our lives when we just need some encouragement or a refresher that we are right where we should be, and this card I'm sharing with all of you today is perfect for just that. It's always great to be reminded that where we are or what we're doing is, in fact, just where or what we should be.

The Stamp set Where You Should Be -IPK-110 has the perfect sentiment and elements to create a fabulous card to let that special one know that they are where they should be.

Think outside of the box and stamp some of your images on some patterned paper and fussy cut around them. They make the perfect element on any card or project. I love these three colors together too. I used some Kraft cardstock for the base and the sentiment, some Target $1 bin patterned paper (yes I love those bins), and some scrap for the note pad page and the background.

Thanks for taking a peek and I hope to have inspired you to create a card just to let someone know that they are right where they should be. Have a safe Memorial Day weekend, Everyone!

Hugs,
Kristy

Pain & Strength

We all have been touched by
cancer in one way or the other...if not personally,
then we have a close family member or friend who've
experienced the battle of dealing and treating the disease.
This stamp set
PAIN & STRENGTH
IPPITY-IB-015
has the perfect sentiment to encourage someone.
"the pain you endure eventually becomes your strength"

Dress up your card with the color of ribbon that represents the specific
type of illness that the recipient is dealing with.
Here is a pdf of different colored ribbons:
